WENDY

I’m Wendy Wiinanen, life-long artist and designer, who loves doodling on envelopes, making up my own recipes, hand-writing long letters, sipping iced french-pressed coffee, taking joy-rides down back roads, exploring waterfront by kayak, and growing herbs and flowers in my patio garden.

MY EXPERTISE

My passion is creating original ideas, compelling concepts and eye-catching artwork that are all uniquely fresh and trend-right for each client. I manage design projects from rough idea to finished product, balancing both business objectives and creative vision. I have great instincts for problem solving and uncovering creative solutions. Ideas and possibilities are abundant in my mind. And I am gifted at creating artwork in an endless variety of styles and techniques, while also able to maintain stylistic consistency throughout a body of work.

MY EXPERIENCE

After graduating with a BFA in Fine Arts, I began my career designing and illustrating for advertising and marketing agencies. Then the world of product development found me. I was given an incredible opportunity at Department 56 both as a product designer and art director for 8 years and most recently at DEMDACO as a senior product developer and creative product manager for 5 years.

I officially launched Wendy Wiinanen Design in 2015 to create original artwork for license and provide creative design services.
